TRELLIS.2
Microsoft's TRELLIS.2 generates structured 3D assets from images or text prompts, and the second version lands with noticeably cleaner geometry and texture coherence than the original. The differentiator over the usual NeRF or Gaussian splat demos: it outputs representations that are actually useful downstream — meshes you can drop into a game engine or a product configurator rather than pretty point clouds that go nowhere. The HuggingFace Space lets you test it without spinning up any infra, which is the right way to evaluate this before committing. Reservation: no description on the Space means you are flying blind on licensing and commercial use until you dig into the model card. That matters if you are building anything customer-facing with it. Still, for 3D asset generation this is the most credible open-weight option Microsoft has shipped, and it is worth thirty minutes of a Saturday. -> Best for: indie hacker or SaaS team of 2-5 building product visualization, game tooling, or 3D content pipelines
