ducklelabs/duckle

Duckle lets a founder or small team build ETL and ELT pipelines visually, then compiles the whole thing to SQL running on DuckDB — locally, on the desktop, with no server to babysit. The drag-and-drop interface is the entry point, but the real differentiator is the output: plain SQL that lives in a git repo alongside the rest of the codebase, not locked in a hosted pipeline vendor's proprietary format. DuckDB as the execution engine means you can crunch meaningfully large datasets without a warehouse bill. The git-friendly workspace design is a detail most visual ETL tools ignore entirely, and it matters when the pipeline is part of a product rather than a one-off analysis. Reservation: this is early open-source software — expect rough edges on the GUI and missing connectors for anything outside the obvious formats. Do not build a production-critical pipeline on it tomorrow. -> Best for: solo founder or SaaS team of 2-5 doing internal data work without a dedicated data engineer
