ciembor/agent-rules-books

A curated set of AGENTS.md rule files that wire classic software engineering principles — Clean Code, DDD, Clean Architecture, DDIA — directly into AI coding agents like Codex, Cursor, and Claude Code. The premise is simple and ACTUALLY useful: instead of hoping your agent writes idiomatic, architecture-aware code by accident, you give it opinionated rules derived from books that have shaped how serious engineers think. Most AGENTS.md repos floating around are thin lists of lint preferences. This one is sourced from real conceptual frameworks, which means the rules have teeth — things like bounded contexts, ubiquitous language, and separation of concerns baked into the agent's operating instructions. Reservation: quality depends entirely on how faithfully the rules capture the source material, and that is worth auditing before you trust it on a real codebase. Worth an hour on a Saturday. -> Best for: SaaS team of 2-5 using Cursor or Claude Code on a non-trivial codebase
